Most people have a few close friends that they choose as friends because they enjoy each others company talk openly with trust laugh together are there for each other no matter what. The organization paints an unrealistic picture of friendship they say that if you are a jw you have hundreds, thousands of close friends thats not possible you can't maintain that kind of connection so it fails by its very nature. sometimes when we exit the org we feel alone its artifical we can really only expect a few that will be close and they are out there we need to look for those few and develop them The org has affected our outlook we need to take a fresh realistic look at life and friendship.

sound weird?.
counter-intuitive as that sounds, he went on to explain why.. when all you value in life is threatened you do whatever desperate act that will preserve that value.. destruction of self stops the ......process.....of consciously losing.

This all struck me like a sci fi horror movie the gb is an alien parasite that infects humans slowly so they don't realize whats happening but as time goes by they begin viewing humans as enemies who are out to get them even their former friends and family. so that when the mothership arrives to destroy the planet they are willing accomplices cheering the destruction of humanity no longer humans themselves they take over the planet install a new society and wipe out all evidence of the former inhabitants.

Generation & "Even when you don't understand/feel uncomfortable with it..."
by nextdoorgirl ini had been getting my hope up that this new generation teaching wouldn't make sense and cause my jw friends and family to wake up.i even asked my mom to explain the new generation teaching, but she didn't even know what i meant!
slept through that meetin'?
anyway, i had to tell her the march 15 wt, (which i studied thanks to the comments provided here on this wonderful board!

Who really are JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES......really.....?

they expect to educate the world about jehovah's kingdom and his christ.. before: nobody knows about it.. after: everybody knows about it.. how would you measure what people "know"?.
how well informed is the average citizen in 2010 vs 1879, for example?.

Is It Wrong To Pretend??
by chron82 inat the current time, my wife and i are just trying to fade away in order to keep family ties on my side.
last night my wife said that she feels bad about being affiliated with the witnesses at all.
i too feel bad about it.... i don't want to be responsible for misleading people.. i told her that in order to keep communication between myself and my family open, i can justify going to meetings.

It's terrible that its this way its alot like the days of the spanish inquistion fortunately the law won't let them torture and kill us physically but they will do whatever they can get away with and if they could they would begin the stoning and hand the first one to your relatives. It's a drag join the club. however there's always the chance your relatives will awaken.
